Question to Ponder:
When was the last time you were truly still before God?
Bible Verse:
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10
Reflection:
Being still isn’t passive—it’s intentional. It’s not something we do while multitasking or half-focused on something else. Stillness is purposeful because its goal is clear: to know that He is God. Another translation says, “cease striving.” When we stop grasping for control, we acknowledge who truly sits on the throne of our lives. He is the Almighty One—the fixer, the sustainer, the provider of all things. The world keeps turning even when we pause. When we make space to be still, we discover that God is more than able to carry what we cannot. He has something beautiful to show us in those moments of sweet surrender.
Practical Action Step:
Set aside five intentional minutes today to pause—no phone, no task, no agenda. Be still, breathe, and simply acknowledge: He is God.
