Question to Consider:
What if waiting is the very action God is calling you to take?

Reflection:
We live in an impatient society, don’t we? Everything around us screams faster, now, go. And I’ll be honest—I’m not different. When an idea sparks in my mind and I decide it’s a good one, my natural instinct is to move. Quickly.
That kind of action-taking can be good—it’s often how dreams are born and plans unfold. But it can also quietly lead me into a trap of self-reliance. Acting without waiting on God can look like faith in motion, but sometimes it’s just me trying to run ahead of His timing.
What I’m learning is this: waiting isn’t inaction. It’s simply a different kind of action. It takes effort, focus, and discipline to stay still when everything in you wants to move. But when God calls us to wait, He’s not withholding something from us—He’s working something in us.
Waiting grows character. It deepens trust. It shifts our dependence from ourselves to Him.
Maybe you’re in that space right now—trying to figure out what to do next, wondering when to take the next step. And perhaps you already are doing the right thing by waiting on the Lord’s next instruction.
Waiting isn’t paralysis or laziness when your heart is listening for His voice. It’s sacred work—the quiet, trusting kind.
