What Are You Setting Before You Today?

“I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” – Psalm 16:8

What are you setting before you each day? Your work, your to-do list, your wants—or the Lord?

Reflection:
Setting the Lord before you requires intention. Choosing anything else means saying “no” to His leading. Our flesh naturally drifts toward letting tasks or desires lead the day. But God promises that when we set Him continually before us, we will not be shaken. This doesn’t mean the day will be free of challenges—it means we’ll be anchored, prepared, and strengthened in Him. Living minute by minute with Him at the center brings productivity without depletion.

Practical Action Step:
Pause at the start of your day (and throughout the day) to intentionally invite the Lord before you—through prayer, scripture, or a moment of stillness. Let Him set the pace and priorities of your day.
